ST. GEORGE — In partnership with Utah Tech University, the city of St. George and numerous community partners, Canyon Media has planned another unforgettable Independence Day celebration. Get ready for a dazzling patriotic tribute, a world-class concert experience and the largest fireworks display in Southern Utah.
Nearly 20,000 people are expected to gather at Greater Zion Stadium on Thursday, July 4, to ring in America’s 248th birthday with a night of thrilling entertainment. Tickets are selling quickly, so don’t miss your chance to join the party.
“If you love America, there’s no better place to celebrate than Greater Zion Stadium on the Fourth of July,” Canyon Media general manager Ben Lindquist said.
This year’s concert lineup features not one, not two, but three artists for the first time ever. Audiences will also be treated to a patriotic program from United We Pledge that features a salute to veterans and the unfurling of one of the world’s largest American flags.
DJ Eric Rhodes will get the party going at 6 p.m. by spinning an energetic blend of hits past and present. With 1.4 million followers on TikTok and nearly 1 million on Instagram, Rhodes is a bona fide social media sensation. His skillful fusion of diverse music genres is sure to captivate the crowd, solidifying his status as one of the hottest DJs in the industry.
The live music starts at 7 p.m. with Craig Morgan, the Tennessee-born singer and songwriter who shot to No. 1 in 2005 with “That’s What I Love About Sunday.” Mixing old-school grit with a modern pulse, Morgan has notched 17 entries on Billboard’s country charts, including “Redneck Yacht Club,” “International Harvester” and “Little Bit of Life.” He’s also noted as a faithful Christian, a devoted family man and a distinguished veteran who re-enlisted in the Army Reserve while on stage at the Grand Ole Opry last year.
Grammy, CMA and ACM award winner Ashley McBryde will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. A member of the Grand Ole Opry, McBryde grew up in rural Arkansas and cut her teeth performing in biker bars before charting her first gold single, “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega.” She has earned platinum certification with the hit “One Night Standards,” and her collaboration with Carly Pearce, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl,” went to No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay in 2021.
“I’m excited about the artists they’re bringing in this year,” St. George Mayor Michele Randall said. “You can look up all kinds of concert ticket prices, and you’re not going to find something this affordable for families anywhere else.”
Tickets cost $30 for general admission, which grants ticketholders access to the field and seating on the east side of Greater Zion Stadium. Reserved seating on the west side costs $48, or $50 for a seatback that provides additional comfort. All ticket prices include taxes and fees.
Southern Utah’s largest fireworks show, synchronized to patriotic music and narration, will blast off from the Utah Tech Encampment Mall just behind the stadium at 10 p.m. St. George residents can view the fireworks from almost anywhere in the downtown area, and the show’s accompanying program will be broadcast live on 99.9 KONY Country. People are also welcome to watch the fireworks for free at the Encampment Mall.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early in order to park, walk to the stadium and find a place to enjoy the show. All Utah Tech parking lots are free and open to the public.
All stadium gates on both the east and west sides will be open for entry. General admission seating is first come, first serve, and the blanket seating on the field is expected to fill up quickly.

All attendees are required to follow Utah Tech’s clear bag policy. Clear bags will be available at the gates courtesy of The Ropes of Southern Utah while supplies last.
Outside food and drink aren’t allowed, but there will be plenty of options for refreshments, including Utah Tech concessions and food trucks. Water refill stations are located throughout the stadium.
Before the celebration at Greater Zion Stadium, the city of St. George will host a full day of activities, including the Independence Carnival, the 4th of July Parade and the Uncle Sam 4K. Bring the whole family to Town Square Park, located in the heart of historic downtown at 50 S. Main Street. From live music and food booths to bounce houses and a talent show, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
“We’ll have fun events happening all day,” Randall said. “It just brings the community together, all celebrating our freedom. Everybody gets excited about the Fourth of July.”
