YOuth Fishing Clinic Starting Soon

St George, Utah- A new fishing clinic will be starting on Thursday, April 10 to teach children ages 8 to 12 years old the joy of fishing. The 3-week program will run on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30 pm at the Skyline Pond. The program fee is $18/youth and includes instruction, use of equipment, drawstring backpack and bait box.
Throughout the program, the participants will learn about the basics of fishing and the benefits of getting outdoors and enjoying the activity of fishing. Each week new topics related to fishing will be introduced and discussed prior to practicing fishing techniques at the pond.
The clinic is co-sponsored by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, Southern Utah Anglers, Virgin River Program, and the City of St. George. The Skyline Pond is located at 600 East Skyline Drive. Visit www.sgcityrec.org for more information and/or to register for the program.
