Noble named St. George Rotarian of the Year

ST. GEORGE — Reed Noble, a senior consultant with Jviation and a long time member of St. George Rotary, was recently named the service club’s 2015 Rotarian of the Year.

This honor to Noble, co-founder of Creamer and Noble Engineers in 1976 and its CEO until 2014, was in recognition of his “wholehearted support of St. George Rotary’s international service project in Guatemala and for managing the club’s dictionary project” for every one of nine years.

Noble, who joined St. George Rotary Club in 1983 and served as president in rotary year 2007-08, has traveled to Guatemala five times and at his own expense to build stoves for Mayan women in the country with the world’s highest rate of mortality among women and children due to smoke inhalation and burns.

St. George Rotary Club’s dictionary project has provided thousands of paperback wordlists to 3rd grade students throughout the Washington County School District since 2006.

Rotary is an organization of approximately 1.2 million business, professional and community leaders in 34,000 Rotary clubs – including Dixie Sunrise, Red Rock, St. George, Hurricane Valley and Zion Canyon Rotary in Washington County. In 160 countries worldwide, Rotarians provide humanitarian service, including the eradication of polio; encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
