Archaeology Society hosts outdoor writer

ST. GEORGE — Brian Passey, Outdoor Guide and Writer will be the feautred speaker at the Dixie Archaeology Society’s October meeting. He will present, “I Was Here.” Passey will highlight rock art locations around the St. George area and speak to what we feel about those locations today.

Passey is an award-winning journalist, most recently for The Spectrum & Daily News in St. George. For 13 years, he wrote about the culture and scenery of Southern Utah. He contributed regularly to St. George Magazine and was USA Today’s Utah correspondent from 2005-2015.

The Dixie Archaeology Society meets Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Udvar-Hazy building, Boeing Auditorium Room 121 on the Dixie State University campus, 225 S. 700 East.
