ST. GEORGE — In the early morning hours Friday, both lanes of traffic were blocked five miles south of the Arizona-Utah border at Hildale after a two-vehicle crash.
The crash, which involved minor injuries, took place around 6:20 a.m. on Arizona state Route 389 past Colorado City, blocking both sides of the two-lane highway.
Colorado City Police and Fire as well as the Arizona Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
Colorado City Fire Chief Kevin Barlow said one driver was transported to St. George Regional Hospital with minor injuries. And despite both lanes being blocked for around two hours, there was little disruption.
“Traffic was able to get through on the shoulder,” he said.
