Region 10 boys golf: Crimson Cliffs wins at Green Spring

ST. GEORGE — The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs won Region 10’s weekly golf match on Wednesday.

Led by Lincoln Markham’s five-under 67, the Mustangs posted a team score of 285. Teammate Boston Bracken also came in under par with a 70.

Meanwhile, runner-up Desert Hills posted a team score of 294. Leading the way for the Thunder were Boston Dixon and Weston Andelin, who each shot an even-par 72.

The 18-hole match was played at Green Spring Golf Course in Washington City.

“It didn’t feel like we ever got on a roll today but the boys hung in there and we finished with a good team score,” Crimson Cliffs coach Cody Felts told St. George News afterward.

“The course was soft today and led to some frustrating lies at times but they all had patience and competed until the end,” Felts added.

Cedar High, which took third place with a score of 310, was led by Braylon Bingham’s 69, the second-best individual score of the day. The Reds were followed by Hurricane and Snow Canyon, who finished in a tie for fourth place with 318 strokes.

Next week’s Region 10 match is scheduled for Wednesday at Cedar Ridge Golf Course in Cedar City.
