ST. GEORGE — A Teasdale woman was killed after her car struck a deer in the road on state Route 24 Sunday evening.
Olivia Clark, 41, was driving a sport utility vehicle near Richfield at about 5:10 p.m. with a two-year-old boy in the back seat, according the the Utah Highway Patrol. Evidence suggests there was a deer in the road and Clark swerved in an attempt to avoid the animal, but the SUV still struck the deer.
After hitting the deer, the SUV swerved to the left, slid off the shoulder and rolled over, according to the Highway Patrol. The car ended up resting on its passenger side.
Clark was wearing her seat belt, but she died as a result of her injuries from the rollover. The child in the back seat was also properly restrained in a car seat and only suffered minor injuries.

Oh dang! So many deer out now. Remember – brake as best you can and just plow through them, dont swerve! That little boy needlessly lost his mother.
Agreed.
