Aaron Karl Esplin, 40, was arrested on investigation of providing harmful materials to a minor, sexual battery and exploitation of a minor, Tiffany Mower, Hurricane police spokeswoman said in a statement.

School administrators contacted investigators and said “they had received information of an inappropriate relationship” between a teacher and a 17-year-old student, Mower’s statement said.

Investigators discovered that the teen had shared what they said were “inappropriate images” of herself with Esplin, according to Mower. Esplin told investigators that he solicited photos from the teen, and also that he inappropriately touched the teen, Mower said.

Throw the book at this pedophile. Great job Hurricane PD. Maximum sentence by the courts I hope.

a pedophile? when I was in hs i knew of several girls under 18 who dated guys in their mid 20s, maybe even late 20s. maybe you haven’t met many 17yr olds? Had it been a 12 yr old then yes, but I can’t help but feel a little bad for this dude, still no excuse tho.

then again, the guy may have done this (many times?) before and got away with it. Could be a predator.

not cool. I wonder if the court is going to treat this the same way as the women who have done this. I mean he has done less than having a child with a minor and full blown relationship. I not trying to justify this in any way, I just saying. Is the girl lying? did she just send the pics over wifi in class? We don’t know if he requested any pictures….yet! What about the girls parents? I have a 2 month old daughter. With that being said, I have noticed what some parents allow their kids to wear to school and to numerous public events around town. Not to mention some of the Mothers out here trying to live vicariously through there teenaged daughters, should put some clothes on to. Not very Christian of you folks! Me being a man, I have had to pick my jaw up off the ground when I realized the woman, I mean girls behind I was noticing was that of a teenager. The bottom line is this is a grown azz man, he should have been thinking with the head between his shoulders and not the other one. Made a adult decision and not acted on impulse. If this child initiated, or made advances toward him he should have gone to the authorities first. I don’t know, maybe not keep the pictures! He sure as shit should not have touched her, what a goon. GO FALCONS!

I have a question, what is different about this guy and the Mormons currently living for free down in Hildale?

    • comments April 21, 2017 at 4:16 pm

      What’s different:

-we’re not hearing of any actual rape happening here, and
-this guy probably won’t get away with it
