ST. GEORGE – Canyon Media and Intermountain Healthcare Southwest Region’s Dixie Regional Medical Center have partnered to present the second annual LiVe Well Kids Expo on Saturday.

The only child-oriented health event in Southern Utah, the LiVe Well Kids Expo is intended to promote health and wellness education for families through an interactive and fun fair. It offers a variety of activities, including a unique obstacle course to challenge kids’ athletic abilities, birdhouse building, a splash pad and vendors like pediatric medical professionals, community sports programs and child development support organizations. Safety tips designed specifically for Southern Utah families, including child fingerprinting kits, emergency preparedness and car seat safety techniques, will also be offered, plus a performance by the Singers Company youth choir.

“When brainstorming about events and activities that would give back to our area, the topic of children kept coming up,” Canyon Media Promotions Director Emily Bermann said. “With the LiVe Well Kids Expo we focus on the core of the family and the future of our community. Our first year was an astounding success, bringing in nearly 1,200 attendees. Back for the second year, we’re making it bigger and better.”

The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m in the St. George Town Square. It is open to the public and free to attend, though donations to DRMC’s trauma care programs will be accepted.

As a Southern Utah leader in multimedia radio advertising, Canyon Media’s Canyon Media Gives Back program is structured to effectively support as many organizations and causes in the local area as possible. Bermann said the company believes that it takes more than just caring; it takes action to build a community. The LiVe Well Kids Expo will encourage community involvement, strengthen family relationships and help build a better future for St. George and all of Southern Utah.
